Conventional energy supply is currently in a watershed moment. Today, in light of increasing digitalisation, the energy sector stands before a historic transition process with the leap into the era of „Utility 4.0“. At the same time, the use of Industry 4.0 serves as an enabler for a wide range of economic possibilities in the supply chain of a network operator. Network construction and plant maintenance represent essential business areas for a network operator. In this context too, the use of innovative technologies such as AI, drones and sensor technology enables huge improvements in efficiency and quality. In order to ensure optimal performance and speed of network construction and plant maintenance processes in the future, we need to develop innovative applications in the field of digitalisation today.
